Sharktopost

If you follow me on any of my social media, then you might have noticed lots of random odd Shark Week posts over the past few days. Last year, I almost completely missed Shark Week, but managed to put together a pretty popular display just in time. This year I’m a bit more prepared.

I thought that I’d consolidate things here in case any one would like to use anything (I freely give). Or make it easier for anyone to get a glimpse into my mind and slowly back away.

Anyone asking for a mashup of the LEGO’s “everything is awesome” and Shark Week?

I’ve got ya covered:

Need a mashup of Sharknado and books about sharks?

Behold: SHARKBOOKNADO!!!!:

Need a picture of Roomba Shark Cat reading P.D. Eastman’s Go, Dog. Go!?

Voila!:

But what about the Hammerhead Shark Dog featured in the same video?

I’ve got your back:

I feel like I should explain why I created the above two images. Our Children’s Library is having an incredibly fun Cats VS Dogs themed month right now (I’ll post about it soon – I promise!). Shark Week doesn’t really fit in with Cats VS Dogs. But then I remembered Roomba Shark Cat and Hammerhead Dog. What would be more perfect than featuring these two internet celebrities reading? Perhaps featuring one on each side of the sign?

Without further ado, here it is:

A lot of our shark-related items are already checked out (no surprise there), and within an hour of putting this display up, several books had been taken from the display.

I didn’t feel the need to provide the “cats/dogs enjoy Shark Week too” signs here since they’re very specific-to-our-theme. However, if you’d like me to make them available here, or if you’d like me to email them to you, then don’t hesitate to let me know!

Happy Shark Week everybody!
